My approach in a nutshell: Opportunity Hides in the Fog. True Human Insight Lights the Way
Doing something new means working without a map. Our brains are built to clear the fog as fast as they can, and in the rush, the most valuable insights about people often get left behind. Drawing on neuroscience and consumer psychology, I uncover those insights and help build them into the entire marketing engine.
When marketing is built on human fundamentals, the confidence that comes with it is earned. It lets you act with clarity and move with purpose.
How I can help
Consumer Psychology
I help brands solve the deep problems that live in the minds of their consumers. Consumers are people, and people are lcomplicated. They present brands with questions that have no single, straightforward answer, questions like:
How do we earn sustained immersion in an era of fragmented attention?
How do we enable deeper connection in an era of isolation?
The answers lie in the workings of the mind: how people pay attention, what lingers in memory, and how the brain turns experience into meaning. Much of what drives behavior unfolds below conscious awareness, and I draw on neuroscience and psychology to bring it into view. I convert these human insights that drive tangible outcomes: engagement, loyalty, and growth.
Brand Strategy
I help brands build a foundation that everything else flows from. Every brand lives two lives: the one a company defines for itself, and the one that forms in the minds of its consumers. When the two drift apart, it starts to feel like a case of the “if only’s”:
If only we could get people to see what we see in our brand
If only we could find our people, the ones who really “get it”
Each one marks the distance between the brand you know you are and the brand people actually experience. I close that distance by grounding the brand’s core in how its consumers actually think and feel. With that firm foundation in place, everything else flows naturally: the messaging, the design, the campaigns, the experience.
Brands and Organizations I’ve Worked With..
How We Can Work Together
Strategic Advisory and Embedded Partnerships
The work I find most rewarding unfolds over time. Embedding with a brand or agency to collaborate from the inside.
I've served as an expert in residence for Nike, sat on several advisory boards, and worked with organizations including KPMG, White Claw, T-Mobile, and McCann.
If you're looking for a strategic partner who brings a different kind of lens to the table, I'd love to talk.
Consulting and Workshops
I work with organizations on a project basis: custom workshops, team trainings, and strategy sessions that bring consumer psychology into your brand and marketing work.
These range from half-day sessions to multi-day intensives, and every engagement is built around your team's specific challenges.
Speaking
I regularly speak at conferences, corporate events, and executive retreats on the psychology of brands and meaning-making. More on my keynote topics and past events on my speaking page
Let’s Get Started
The most interesting challenges rarely come with a clear path forward. Often that’s because you’re doing something new, like a technology people haven’t yet made room for in their lives, or a product that doesn’t fit any existing category. Sometimes the market itself has shifted and the traditional playbook has quietly stopped working. These are the moments when the fog is thickest. They’re also where the richest possibilities tend to hide.
I work with consumer-facing (B2C) brands, from start-ups to established companies, and with the agencies that build them. If there’s a specific type of collaboration that resonates, or if you have something in mind that doesn't fit neatly into one of these categories, please get in touch
